Yoni Steam Box
This unique item was first conceived by my partner who wanted a comfortable, modern alternative to the utilitarian sitz bath. Through multiple versions, the Yoni Steam Box has evolved from a basic cube to a sanctified throne, made from aromatic red cedar, fully collapsable for easy storage and transport. Finished with a custom homemade blend of beeswax and mineral oil, it is built with your safety and wellness as the highest priority.
Early models had custom lids mounted to the box, with a rabbeted, removable base.
The newest design uses separate components and minimal fixed joinery. Instead, the interlocking walls are held upright by rabbets in the end grain and lid.
When not in use, the walls can be collapsed for storage within the lid and base, which lock together thanks to inset handles. Stored height is less than 6”
